Lindsay Brimblecombe
Registered Midwife

I have a Bachelor of Midwifery from the University of British Columbia and serve women in the communities of Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody and Surrey. I have privileges at Royal Columbian and Surrey Memorial Hospitals.

I believe that:

• pregnancy and birth can be normal and extraordinary at the same time

• women deserve a compassionate and competent care provider

• when given adequate information, a woman will have the tools to make the decisions that are right for her and her family

Before becoming a midwife, I worked at a variety of jobs. I especially enjoyed running a Community Kitchens program, and working with children and at-risk youth. My education includes certification in American Sign Language, Working with Youth in Community Settings, Doula Training, and Health and Fitness Studies. All of my education has been geared towards supporting people to take ownership of their own experiences.

I endeavour to support women to feel involved and respected in their care and I appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
