Tara MacLean migrated west from P.E.I. when she was fourteen.  Awed by the unfathomable beauty of the giant trees on Vancouver Island, she found herself compelled to fight against the logging of the Clayoquot Sound by lending her voice and her guitar to the blockades.
Since then she has gone to tour around the world and has made two full length albums as a solo artist (Nettwerk Records) and two more with a side project called ʽShayeʼ.  She will be releasing her third solo album in the Spring.   Tara has two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Stella , both born with the strong and magical assistance of a midwife. She is honoured and excited to participate in this amazing celebration.

Shelily is held together by the love of music shared by this talented family composed of midwife Denise Olson and her twin daughters, Angela and Miranda Sheppard. The songs they perform were written in the intensity of life's moments, spanning Denise's Simon Fraser University days and travels to India, to becoming a mother and losing her husband to cancer while practicing midwifery. Angela and Miranda began their violin studies at the age of five, long after their in utero vocal training. They carried on singing through high school choirs, competing internationally. "We hope the music brings as much joy to your lives as it does to ours."
