Established in 1980, the Midwives Association of British Columbia (MABC) is the professional organization for registered midwives. The MABC advocates the ongoing development and enhancement of midwifery services, and promotes the profession of midwifery. 

The MABC is a member of both the International Confederation of Midwives and the Canadian Association of Midwives. All Registered Midwives in British Columbia are Voting Members of the MABC. Non-Voting Members include Supporting Members, Student Members and Honorary Members.
