Registered Midwife

I have been a midwife for almost 30 years and am the mother of two grown children, one of whom was born at home and the other in hospital. It has become obvious to me over the years that midwifery practiced in a continuity of care model where the family has a relationship with their care provider empowers women, strengthens families, and greatly enhances birthing normally. I have worked in the city and now enjoy having a semi rural practice with a combination of home and hospital deliveries.

I trained in Australia as a Registered Nurse before coming to Canada where I obtained my midwifery training from Seattle Midwifery School. I have been registered to practice midwifery in BC since January of 1998.
