Feeding and Swallowing Disorders in Infancy

May 31 - June 1, 2019

Overview

Robin Glass and Lynn Wolf, Paediatric Occupational Therapists and Lactation Consultants, are traveling to teach this course in Vancouver on feeding and swallowing disorders in infancy on May 31 & June 1 2019! They are both clinical infant specialists, are NDT trained and have faculty roles at the University of Washington.

The course features a core day looking at foundational infant feeding skills, including suck-swallow-breathe co-ordination, information regarding bottle and breast feeding for the premature infant, the implications of reflux and more. Past participants note that they have a better understanding of the physiological requirements of safe and effective feeding patterns, and are better equipped to assist those infants who are struggling.

Please reach out to Stephanie if you have a group of 8 or more and would like the course distributed to your community in BC.

We encourage Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Lactation Consultants, Nurses, Midwives, Occupational Therapists, Paediatricians, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Speech and Language Pathologists to register.
