posted on April 6, 2022

UPDATE 30 JUNE: Past Submissions have been reviewed and payments will be received by the 15 AUGUST 2022. Members have received an individual summary.

RE-OPENING RETROACTIVE CLAIMS (28 JUNE)

Members who have not submitted a claim are encouraged to do so by 31 July 2022.

MABC have been granted funds to assist Locum Midwives who travel to and stay in Host communities to provide coverage through RMLP. This will be retroactive, from April 1, 2020 – 31 March, 2022. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CLAIMS BY 31 JULY 2022.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

  • You can only submit a claim if your travelled outside of your home community to provide coverage in the Host community. You can’t claim if you continued living in your own home.
  • The full RMLP Locum Travel and Accommodation Policy can be found on the RMLP page. Please review this policy prior to submitting your claim.
  • You will need to submit TWO SEPARATE SUBMISSIONS for each fiscal year, each year can have multiple placement claims though.
  • If you drove, you just need to provide a google map (no gas receipts)
  • You can claim the daily meal per diem and incidentals per diem without having to show receipts
  • Lost a receipt? You can complete a ‘lost receipt’ declaration on the form. Please try to include some sort of proof of payment (e.g credit card transaction, email confirmation of booking, anything that provides proof of your trip).
  • Much like when you do your taxes, take your time to collect receipts/supporting documents. We have enabled the ‘save and return later’ function on the reimbursement form.
  • Don’t know how to merge PDF’s? No problem, please submit a claim and upload at least one receipt/google map. Then tick the box ‘I will email more receipts separately’. You can then email them through to programs@bcmidwives.com
  • If you haven’t provided your Direct Deposit information to MABC already, please do so by completing the direct deposit form and returning it to: bookkeeping@bcmidwives.com
  • The policy includes a daily rate depending on where the placement took place. These are the maximum daily allowances:
Rural Host Community UP TO $150/day of coverage
Remote Host Community UP TO $200/day of coverage
