The MABC is pleased to present Maggie Ramsey as our first Midwife of the Month in a special 20 Year Anniversary Series that honours founding BC midwives. Maggie provided midwifery care primarily on Salt Spring Island for 40 years — 20 year before midwifery regulation and 20 years after. BC Midwife of the Month is a monthly profile series that honours practicing midwives for their extraordinary contributions to current issues facing the profession and serves to introduce the public to a broad spectrum of midwives working in our province.
