Registered Midwife Opportunity – August/September 2026

The Midwives in Chilliwack BC are seeking a Registered Midwife to join our team beginning August or September 2026. We welcome applications from experienced midwives and new graduates.

Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology - Division of Midwifery

The Fraser Health Authority (FHA) Midwifery Division within the Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is pleased to announce vacancies for provisional privileges for midwives at several sites across Fraser Health. The following sites have available vacancies this year.

The Fraser Health Authority (FHA) Midwifery Division within the Regional Department of Obstetrics &

Gynecology is pleased to offer temporary fellowship appointments for new registrant midwives for one year.

These temporary fellowship appointments are intended to provide a one-year experience to support

consolidation of knowledge and skills.

We welcome interested new graduates from Canadian midwifery education programs to submit a CV, Letter

of Interest, and Letter of Support from an established midwifery practice in FHA by March 19, 2026 to

medicalstaffrecruitment@fraserhealth.ca . There will be no extensions. Interviews will be arranged by early to mid-

April for all temporary new graduate positions. Anticipated start no sooner than July 1, 2026, or as soon as

the credentialing process is completed thereafter.

- BC Womens and Home Birth

- Team of 5, taking 14 EDDs per month

- Excellent admin support

- New Registrants welcome to apply. This team has mentored two of it's current members through their new reg year.

- 10/14hour shifts Monday-Thursday with 24hour shifts on weekends

- Flexible schedule made collaboratively

- Currently 3 teams working at the practice with excellent team to team support.

This is for a maternity leave, return date likely October 2027 but somewhat flexible.
