Dear Midwives, Alderbrook Health and Wellness Center in Aldergrove is looking for a midwife. We are a multi-disciplinary health and wellness center located in downtown Aldergrove, that specializes in women’s health. Our goal is to bring services to Aldergrove that may not already be accessible to the community. Currently on our team we have two Registered Massage Therapists, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, and a Certified Birth Doula. We opened our doors in May 2016 and have been growing ever since. Our center's warm and inviting environment, allows the community to take care of themselves with qualified, passionate practitioners while at the same time enjoying our center’s very relaxing “spa” like feel. We have 5 rooms, including one that is set up currently for our doula, and is ready for a midwife as well. Words can’t do the beauty of our center justice, it is a must-see space. As a center, we do “shows” such as the West Coast Women’s Show, and the Aldergrove Community Fair. As well we provide numerous advertisements on your behalf through social media and word of mouth with our current patients. Together with our practitioners we host workshops and events here at the center for our community. The ideal midwife for our center would either already have/or be willing to get, privileges at Langley Memorial Hospital and/or Abbotsford Memorial Hospital. As we are in-between the two hospitals we get patients from both townships and would love to be able to accommodate them all. The ideal midwife for our center is team driven, in that they would be willing to work alongside our other practitioners in a whole person approach in health education and treatment. Aldergrove is a community that is growing and needs a midwife for the increased number of mothers willing to look to a more natural approach to their birth. We are looking to welcome a midwife for long term and part-time/full-time as your practice grows. We are looking for someone wanting to grow their own clientele in combination with referrals from the center.
